You had the idea. Here's the toolkit to help license it.

Stuck on how to license your idea? The next step is a sell sheet — the one-page pitch that shows a company your product.

Build your sell sheets
Find companies that accept ideas
Track every pitch toward a licensing deal
$49 once · no subscription · no commission

Free to try. No card required. Your idea stays yours.

When the app finds you companies, every quote it shows is word for word from the company's own page — if a company hasn't published anything, it says so instead of guessing. No rankings, no paid placements.

How it works

01

Build your sell sheets

Pick a template, add your words and product photos — benefit-level only, never include details revealing how it works. The Wording Workshop turns your own description into sharper options for you to choose from — you pick; the app never writes for you.

  • Six distinct templates — switch layouts in one click, your content carries over
  • 24 colors and 5 font pairings per template
  • Free watermarked sample exports before you ever pay

Drop in your own product photos

Upload product photos and your logo and they drop straight into your sheet's photo slots. Use one-click background removal, running entirely in your browser — photos never leave your device.

Wording Workshop

  • Describe a benefit in your own words.
  • Get 3–5 sharper options grounded in proven sell-sheet language — with a note on why each works.
  • Options that you select land straight in your sheet.

Export a PDF and an editable PowerPoint

Download print-ready PDFs, plus editable PowerPoint versions of the same sheets on unlocked campaigns.

Find open doors

Conduct live searches to surface companies in your category — the ones that publish a submissions process, and the ones worth calling to ask. Each result shows what its page states — quoted word for word where a condition is published, labeled an open question where nothing is — and the app checks every page the moment you search.

  • One search returns a list of companies, never one at a time
  • Add any result to your outreach tracker in two clicks
  • Searches run live the moment you click — never a stale database
  • Stated submission processes quoted word for word — the rest labeled an open question
  • The app filters out directories, blog posts, and paid invention-promotion services
  • Dead links never shown — every page is checked before it reaches you
  • No rankings, no endorsements — you judge each company for yourself

Track every pitch

Add companies to your target list, log who you contacted and when, and keep the whole campaign in one place.

  • Unlimited companies per unlocked campaign — add from research or by hand
  • Move each company through the eight stages of a pitch
  • Log calls, emails, and submissions in two clicks
  • Set follow-up dates — overdue work rises to the top
  • Fill company details straight from their own pages
  • Tier companies yourself — the app never rates them for you
  • Edit any logged entry in place — method, note, follow-up date
  • Filter by status to focus on one stage at a time

Who does what?

You make every judgment call. The app does the mechanical work.

The sell sheet

/// You

  • Decide your product's biggest benefits, and write them in your own words
  • Pick the template, the color palette, and the font pairing
  • Choose which wording options to accept — or reject every one of them
  • Write your own idea-status line, if you want one at all

/// The app

  • Lays your words onto six print-ready templates, and re-flows them when you switch
  • Sharpens wording you've already written into options, each with a note on why it works
  • Cuts the background out of your product photos, in your browser
  • Renders a print-ready PDF and an editable PowerPoint of the same sheet

Company research

/// You

  • Name the product category to search
  • Judge which companies are worth your time — the app never ranks them
  • Verify every company yourself before you contact them

/// The app

  • Runs live searches and reads each company's page at that moment
  • Quotes each page's own submission words, verbatim and in alphabetical order
  • Filters out directories, dead links, and paid invention-promotion services

Outreach and the licensing deal

/// You

  • Make every call and send every sheet yourself
  • Get permission before sending, and ask why after a no
  • Decide what a deal is worth, and whether to sign it

/// The app

  • Remembers every contact, every follow-up date, and every stated reason for a no
  • Floats overdue follow-ups to the top, and emails you what's due that day
  • Stops at the paperwork — contracts stay between you and your own advisor

What SellSheet Studio won't do

SellSheet Studio is a product you use, not a service you hire.

  • It won't do the work for you. Nobody here calls companies, sends your sheet, or takes a cut of your deal — the app hands you the tools and gets out of the way.
  • It won't rank companies or pick favorites — research shows each company's own words so you can judge for yourself.
  • It won't promise outcomes. No deal predictions, no hype.
  • It won't touch your idea. What you create is yours — sell sheets, exports, all of it.

What is a campaign?

A campaign is one product idea and everything you'll do to pitch it for licensing:

/// One campaign

The sell sheets you build

The companies you find

The record of every pitch you make

A realistic first week:

Two evenings building your sheets
An evening searching for and vetting companies in your product category
Then a call a day down the list of vetted companies, tracking call details along the way

All of it tracked in the app for each of your campaigns.

What 30 companies costs

You'll be contacting thirty companies, not three — most won't say yes, and that's expected. Securing a licensing deal will likely require working steadily through a long list of potential company matches. So the number that matters isn't the sticker price, it's what the 30th company costs you.

  • SellSheet Studio$49One flat payment. 30 companies or 3 — the bill doesn't change.
  • Pay-per-submission platforms$216–324These platforms typically give you a few free submissions, then charge around $8–12 per company — roughly 27 paid submissions to reach 30.
  • Coaching membership~$50/moLicensing-coaching memberships bill monthly for as long as your campaign runs, with one-off coaching sessions in the hundreds.
  • A designer for the page alone$1,000–2,000Typical agency project rate, or $45–85/hour freelance. Gets you the page and none of the companies.

These aren't the same service, and this isn't a claim that ours is better at their job. A submission platform routes your idea to companies that signed up to receive it; a coach reviews your work; a designer draws. SellSheet Studio builds the page, runs your searches, and keeps your record — you make every call. What's being compared is the shape of the bill.

Comparison figures are typical published rates for each category, checked July 29, 2026.

Common questions

Q-01What's a sell sheet?

A one-page pitch that shows a company what your product is, what the benefit is, and how to reach you. It's the standard first contact in product licensing.

Q-02Do you contact companies for me?

No. You make every call and send every sheet yourself — that's the method, and it's the part companies respond to. SellSheet Studio builds the sheet, runs the searches, and remembers every follow-up; the conversations are yours, and so is any licensing deal that comes of them. The free Outreach Guide walks through exactly what to say.

Q-03Do I need a patent first?

No. Many companies that accept outside ideas review them without one — and when a company does require a patent or a pending application, its own submission page says so, and research results quote that condition word for word. You'll know each company's requirement before you reach out.

Q-04What stops a company from just taking my idea?

No tool can make that impossible, and anyone who promises otherwise is selling something. What the method does about it: a sell sheet shows the benefit, not the how-it-works, so sending one doesn't hand over your mechanism — and the app's fields are built the same way. You send the sheet only after a named person at the company says yes to receiving it, and the tracker keeps a dated written record of who agreed and every contact after. The rest is each company's own submission terms — quoted word for word in research so you can read them before you send anything.

Q-05Is it a subscription?

No. $49 is a one-time payment with no recurring charge, ever. It unlocks one campaign — one product idea — for as long as SellSheet Studio operates, and the PDF and PowerPoint files you export are yours permanently, on your own computer.

Q-06Does my campaign expire?

No. There's no clock on an unlocked campaign — no renewal date, no expiry, and nothing switches off if you don't touch it for a year. Archiving is something you do yourself, and you can restore an archived campaign whenever you want. The one honest boundary is the same one on any hosted product: your campaign lives here for as long as SellSheet Studio operates. That's exactly why every export downloads to your own computer, where it stays yours no matter what happens to us.

Q-07How many sell sheets can I create in one campaign?

Up to 10. One campaign covers one product idea, and you can build up to ten different sheets for it — one aimed at a big retailer, another at a specialty maker, one that leads with a different benefit. Switching templates, colors, or fonts doesn't create a new sheet; your words carry across all six layouts. The free tier gives you one sheet per campaign, and the other nine come with the unlocked campaign.

Q-08How many company searches do I get?

Sixty per unlocked campaign, plus three free ones to try first. A search isn't one company: each one runs several search patterns, checks dozens of company pages live, and returns every company it can verify in your category. Sixty searches is room to work several categories and trade terms, and the companies they turn up are never capped.

Q-09How many companies can I keep in the tracker?

As many as you want on an unlocked campaign — there's no limit. The free tier holds five per campaign so you can see how the tracker works before paying. Everything you add stays for the life of the campaign, and you can download the whole tracker as a spreadsheet any time.

Q-10How many times can I export my sell sheet?

Up to 500 times per campaign, counting PDF and PowerPoint together. The ceiling is there to stop abuse; a normal campaign uses a small fraction of it, so rewrite a line and export again as often as you like. The app keeps your last 20 exports so you can reopen an earlier version instead of rebuilding it. Before you pay, six watermarked sample exports let you see exactly what comes out.

Q-11How many wording suggestions can I ask for?

One hundred rounds per unlocked campaign, and ten free to try. Each round returns three to five sharper versions of wording you wrote, with a note on why each one works — so a hundred rounds is several hundred options for a sheet that needs about eight lines. You accept or reject each one, and anything you reject is never suggested again.

Q-12I have a second product idea — do I pay again?

Yes — $49 per idea, same flat price every time. Each campaign you unlock gets the full allowance (60 searches, 100 wording rounds, unlimited tracker companies) no matter how many you've run before — a second campaign is never a smaller campaign. Only the free trial doesn't repeat: it's one-time per account.

Q-13Does my work carry over to a new campaign?

Yes. Your contact details, logo, and template come across automatically, and you can carry over the company research you already did — submission conditions and contacts included. On a free second campaign the carried companies fill up to the free 5-target limit; the rest arrive the moment you unlock it.

Q-14Are there any other charges inside a campaign?

No. Switching templates, rewriting, re-exporting, and repositioning the same product for a different category all happen inside the campaign you already unlocked — no subscription, no staged fees, nothing extra.

Q-15Who owns what I make?

You do. Your idea, your sell sheet, your exports — all of it, before and after you pay. We never train AI models on your content, and our AI provider's policy is that commercial API inputs and outputs aren't used for training by default — we never opt in to change that. Nothing you type is shared or sold.
